When I traveled to Honduras, I learned one thing: It is NOT dull. Far from it, in fact. Look around the country and you won’t see a gray, drab landscape. I woke up every morning knowing that I would be met by rainbows of tropical flowers and colorful vegetation, dripping with last night’s raindrops. I couldn’t help but take pictures of the flora as we traveled across the country.

My trip to Honduras was paid for by the Honduras Institute of Tourism but all opinions are my own.

  • Wow-gorgeous, colors in this photo essay. That is some beautiful flora.

  • So pretty, and lovely shots. What type of camera do you use.

@Alouise ~ I use a point-and-shoot Kodak EasyShare M381. I’ve gotten to play around with the settings on my last couple trips, and I’m actually pretty happy with how the photos come out.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  • The images are so nice that I can smell the perfume of the flowers from here!

  • Hi JoAnna,

I wanted to let you know that I enjoy all your posts, but the last two are especially nice. I love flowers and I spend a good deal of my time in Taipei parks reading and watching all of the local birds. Flower season here never seems to come to an end. Its nice to see images from the other side of the world about the small things in life that give me such pleasure.
